You have been injured in Quebec as a result of a crime committed against a person? You can take advantage of indemnities and services under the Crime Victims Compensation Act.
To be eligible for this plan, you must have been injured or killed in a crime included in a list compiled by the CVCA. In some cases, you can even apply if you have suffered material damage in helping a peace officer making an arrest or attempting to prevent a crime, arresting or attempting to arrest the author of an offense or even in preventing or attempting to prevent a crime. Know that there is a delay for the submission of your application; ask your lawyer to see if you qualify for some compensation. |
