Internet purchases, phone or mail - Part 1
Where a trader offers distance purchasing of goods or services, it's required by law to provide you a detailed description of his offer. This should include especially, the following information:

  • The name and address of the trader in question;
  • A detailed description of each good or service offered for sale;
  • The total amount of the purchase, including the price of the goods or services, related fees and taxes;
  • The description of the additional costs that may be required for customs duties, brokerage fees and other expenses that may be requested;
  • The currency used to settle the transaction;
  • The date, time and manner of delivery and the carrier's name if applicable;
  • Internal policies of the merchant about the conditions of cancellation, the return of the goods, exchange or refund;
This information must be prominently displayed on the website or verbally in the case of a sale by telephone.
